Everyday Serenity by David Kundtz is a wonderful daily meditation book. The size is tiny but the ideas are not. He opens with quotes from a wide range of writers, artists, spiritual and others. Kundtz then expands, tying it in with the main theme of this book. The emphasis is stopping, pausing to allow moments of stillness into our lives. The book was a shared reading. It took us almost a year to complete, reading one selection most days. We’ve read and enjoyed other books by Kundtz, but Everyday Serenity was the best so far. It’s going into our permanent library and I’m sure we’ll revisit it again.

Thought provoking book about taking time to be quiet. The subtitle is what convinced me that the book was written for me: Meditations for People Who Do Too Much.

I loved this book. It contains short "meditations" to think about / perform every day.
