Read as part of my counselling Masters program- good application of practical skills in counselling. I appreciated that there were lots of examples of the skills in use. Of particular interest to me was the second to last chapter on how the skills could be used with particular challenges (anxiety, bereavement, depression...) I would recommend it.
A comprehensive and accessible analysis of counselling skills and a framework for using them with clients. Not the most thrilling read ever, but it is great for any trainee counsellor looking for guidance on what to do with their early clients - particularly in short term work.
