Thoroughly enjoyed this book. We spend a lot of time walking in the Lake District and could mentally follow most of the route. I also enjoyed Eric Robson's sense of humour and Jess's antics. Can definitely recommend to armchair fell walkers and Lake District lovers
Robson writes about a 190 mile walk around the remote peaks of the Lake District with a film crew, making a TV programme. The book is illustrated with the some Wainwright maps. Being a lover of the Lakes, and of Wainwrights work, I was predisposed to like this book. Although I enjoyed reading it there was no really fresh thoughts or perspectives to take from it. Robson's love of the Lakes is obvious though and it comes through in the way he writes about the landscape.
