Here is a literary toast to Bert Grant, father of America's microbrew industry, and his evangelical passion for the art and science of brewing fine crafted ales. It's all about Grant's fragrant, gas-fired, copper-kettle world, and what has come from it.

Ah, this book made me wish I have had a chance to taste the Grant beers. I don't even know if they are still being made. There's a tendency to hyperbole sometimes and you can tell Grant certainly didn't like some people. Still a fascinating account of opening up a brewery.
