Strangely discombobulated book. Very little in it about really looking at the last day of your life. It's just a series of random stories and thoughts. Certainly not what the title purports it to be.

Very strange format. I guess I expected a little more insight. Some good messages about what's important in life. Treasure every day.

The stories are moving. The writing is straightforward and honest. The structure is overly simplistic, and the last 10-15% of the book is reductive and redundant.

A very personal story filled with examples of what he had encountered with friends or colleagues rather than deep analysis. I found some stories annoying such as his friend who was such a funny guy who would take down artwork in every hotel he stayed in and sign his name on it. Sounds like vandalism to me.

I will write more on this putrid pile of poop when I get back from errands.

Brought me to tears.

While I can appreciate this book and what it stands for, I'm not obligated to enjoy reading it. The Last Day Of My Life read more like a self-help book rather than a memoir/autobiography. I felt the story was broken up too much to allow for thought provoking life changing 'consider this' prompts. This book felt more about changing the reader than about the story of the writer; and I was really looking forward to reading about the writer. I wanted to hear more about this day, but instead we got a book of antidotes and memories along with some positive thinking methods. Not a waste of time, but not as advertised in this reader's opinion.

This is a very intimate telling of a painful period in an American man's life and how he overcomes the struggles that many of us face as our careers and lives careen near the edge, not knowing if we'll topple over or recover. Thankfully, Jim Moret found a way to not only recover but to soar and we are all better for it. His insightful way of telling stories to the world is a treat. I'm so glad he's still here.

TV reporter/anchor reflects on death and in doing so, learns about living a full life.

The author does something of a thought experiment during a hard time in his life. If this were the last day of my life, what would I do? The result is perspective on his life that lifts his spirits along with that of the reader. Worth reading.

Odd arrangement. IT was like reading someone's journal of their conclusions to the question "If I had 24 hours left to live, what would I do?" but lacked a lot on describing the process he went through or just telling the tale of what it took to reach his conclusions. Nice message, but pretty poorly delivered.

It took me awhile to get through this, I just didn't have the enthusiasm I had, once I read the first ten pages. It's hard to read about someone's successful life and how they have misused their money, and how despondent they are about it. I've never known what it's like to have even ten percent of what he's had. I'm glad he realizes how blessed he is.

Had bought this at an airport, and the cashier mentioned many travelers has been buying it as well. What an excellent autobiography about what matters most in one's life, as he struggles with overcoming depression. Very introspective and inspirational.

Very interesting path his life took--and how he straightened it all out. A great idea to think about how you would spend your last 24 hours. Also interesting that his biological father allowed him to be adopted as an adolescent--and the cost of that on both of them.

Jim Moret is a journalist who decides to interview himself with the pretense that he only has 24 hours left to live. What questions would he ask of himself? Where do his values lie? Very interesting and insightful.

A personal story about adversity and how to handle it. Good story. A quick read.

Novel approach to evaluating what is important in ones' life. THough the questions he asks are not profound, they are important, and potentially life-changing.

Really makes you think about what you'd do if you knew it was the last day of your life, and then to live each day as if it is!

Honestly, I found this to be cliched and rather boring. I took nothing new from this book.
