A simple and enjoyable fairytale.

Now how does that old saying go----“A bird may love a fish, but where would they live?” And that’s precisely the problem faced by the protagonists in this brief (77 pages) but sweet little story.

There isn’t really much to say about the tale---it’s not terribly complex. But since I’ve always enjoyed stories and artwork depicting merpeople, I was happy enough to spend a little time with Nileas and Aeolus. It’s a bit of fluff, true enough---I do wish it had a little more depth. But if the subject m

Alors alors...

Intriguing, but left me wanting more

Warning: This review might contain what some people consider SPOILERS.

Rating: 6/10

PROS:
- I loved the setting/premise. Stories of Greek and Roman mythology have always been among my favorites.
- The fantasy element provides for some delightful little moments in which Nileas is able to experience sea life in ways that are impossible for humans to experience in reality.
- Both of the protagonists are sweet, selfless creatures.

CONS:
- The story moves very swiftly.

ebook.
Mermen. Set in ancient Greece. Magic realism goodness. Lovely story about how two beings from two very different worlds try to make a life together.

A good interpretation/re-telling of The Fisherman and his Soul or The Little Mermaid (whichever way you want to look at it).
