I found this gem in a thrift store and it has quickly cemented its place as one of the most-used cookbooks in my vast collection. I love the commentary and stories at the top of each recipe. The appetiser, salad, soup, pasta, risotto and vegetable recipes are all quick and easy, not to mention incredibly tasty. I often turn to this book when I need a delicious meal which can be ready in 20-30 minutes after a long day. The baking recipes at the back are, of course, a little more time consuming.

I believe this book may be out of print, but if you are vegetarian and/or interested in learning more about authentic Italian cooking from an Italian (the author is from Minori, on the Amalfi Coast), do yourself a favour and try to get hold of a secondhand copy.
