I've enjoyed this book.long time ago, I thought that I know everything about the vampire's world, but I was wrong.

This book is a great journey inside a fantastic world. Are you ready?

what is a vampire? do they really drink blood? what powers do they have?

what do they look like? where do they live?

then

10 vital ways to spot a vampire

how to avoid a vampire and the three golden rules

and

the most important, exciting and enjoyable part in this book "types of vampire"

no no no you have to read the book ^_^

and now with "vampire tales" really I like it especially "Abhartach" and "Elizabeth Bathory"

then

vampire companions

and finally

vampire tests ^_^

When I received Biblio Vampire I was very excited to see that it was a relatively big book. It has an awesome cover and the design on all the pages looked very professional. I was very impressed by how well made the book was.

Now on to the content of the book. I had read another book similar a few months ago and this book puts the other one to shame. Everything was very well organized unlike the other one. At first while reading I was a little bit confused because the author would name different vampires and talk about things they did and I knew nothing about these vampires. And I was lost, but then the next chapter went and broke down each vampire and it cleared up the stuff from the last chapter.

The whole section on ‘types of vampires’ was great. I really learned a lot about the different kinds and how to know if I run in to one before.

But what I really enjoyed was the chapter called ‘Vampire Tales’. It wasn’t overly detailed, just enough that I could take the names that they gave me and I could look up more info if I wanted. Which will really help me with the senior research paper I will be writing this year.

At the end of the book they had a map with listings of all the places that are known for vampires. Then there were some fun cheesy test you could take. Yes I called the cheesy, but they where still cute.

The only thing I wish books like this would have our some ‘scientific proof’ of vampires. I mean I know that there isn’t actual proof that supernatural beings a exist, but I know that there has to be some kind of information on scientist finding skulls or anything else that could hint at supernatural beings.

The cover is fantastic and very eye-catching and I am a big fan of vampires so I was really excited to read this.

I was kinda dissapointed when I saw the photos and the layout of the book. It felt like they just copy-paste the images from Google search. I was expecting for an original art...

Not a lot of new information/trivia about vampires but I like the section about the different types of vampire in other countries in Asia.

I'm still keeping it but I didn't really enjoyed it compared to other vampire books I've read.

This book is a very interesting read and may I also point out it is a quick read. I know tons about vampires because they are one of my favorite creatures to read about and this book taught me things I did not know. I recommend this book to anyone looking to broaden there knowledge of the vamps.

I am someone who likes to read about vampires of any kind.

This book was very interesting to me and there were a lot of legends and myths that I had not heard about. It gave me more things to definitely look up for sure. I liked the way he used the humor in kind of a passive way. Some of the comments even made me choke on my drink!

This book somehow makes vampire stories boring and dry. I honestly would have had more fun reading a wikipedia page on the subject.

This is a terrible little book, so rife with inaccuracies and omissions that I would consider it worse than useless. Enumerating these errors would be tantamount to rewriting the book; suffice to say that: 1)there is no Romanian folklore stating that the strigoi cannot be seen in mirrors, and Curran's characterization of this figure draws much more from Slavic concepts than from Romanian sources; 2)Dom Calmet was an armchair scholar who did not travel to Eastern Europe, and his work (which I doubt had anything to do with any Papal commission, though I could be wrong) certainly was translated into English in short order; 3)the "mysterious disease" gripping the New England "vampires" was tuberculosis, as forensic anthropology has shown conclusively. I could go on, but there would be no point. This narrow volume is a great disappointment, especially from a reasonably reputable publisher like Barron's.

Throw poppy seeds at the vampire. They will stop to pick it up. Probably because they are running an opium den. But only the Romanian ones. Of course, it's best to avoid vampires. Especially ones in heels. XD

Seriously, this book is a riot. I loved how useless it could be. My friend and I had fun reading about the types, and where to find them. Good thing vamps don't live in Canada!

Read this book for a good laugh. I'm still laughing now. XD

I really liked this book. Its layout consists of images and text. It has a section on the different types of Vampires (the African Tikoloshi, the Scandinavian Draugr, the Romanian Strigoii). There are also stories of famous vampires like Dracula and the Countess Elizabeth Bathory. How should you avoid a vampire? How can you distinguish a vampire? Most importantly, what should you do if you come in contact with one? Read this book to find out!

This book was very amusing. It was a great way for me, a huge vampire fan, to learn about these terrifying creatures of the night and to learn about times in history when people actually thought certain crimes and phenomenons where caused by vampires.
