Honestly, I thought about giving this one a 4.5 but then I thought about my reasoning. The only reason I'd do that is because it was short and sweet. Ok, only because it was short? I can't take off points for it being exactly what it's meant to be. Although, I really would have loved to learn more about Olivia and her lifestyle. It seemed so fun.
There was definitely a fun twist at the end that had my gears spinning but it was fun and lighthearted. Poor Olivia always protesting even up to the last scene. I really loved Olivia. She was so exciting and as I said before I would have loved to learn more about her.
While I wanted more, I was definitely happy with what I got. I loved the armband myth and legend it, plus the secret message Olivia had with her cousin Ray. It was all in fun and I enjoyed it. I would have loved more of the same but for a short story it was great!
Short and to the point, it ended up being not nearly as one dimensional as some stories of this length tend to be. Marcus has a passion for Roman artifacts and once he sees Olivia he has a passion for her. Is it the magic in the armband that's making them crave each other? Good question. I will say that the ending was almost too easy. However, once again, when you're dealing with short stories you usually don't get the long, drawn out conclusions. For what it was, it ended up being satisfying, quick and steamy.
This is a fun and sexy little novella. This is like a cops and robbers fantasy come to life and overall I really enjoyed the quick read, but I felt the story was missing something. I think if you are looking for a steamy fling in a situation that seems implausable then this is the read for you.
Marcus just bid on a very expensive item he wanted in his collection of art. But as he was talking to his friend he noticed a woman he wanted just as much. Olivia is not your everyday working woman she is a very talented art thief and Marcus has become her mark for her next theft. Except she doesn’t exactly get what she wants from him but does achieve in getting something she sure wasn’t looking for.
A very intense, exciting story and so much more. He is a very dominant alpha male. She is in trouble and blindly follows him into a situation she does not full understand. I give it 4 stars as it needs proofreading for errors better. Otherwise I thought it was worth reading. I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.
For a short erotic story it had a decently fleshed out plot (which I really, really appreciate, because let's be honest, most erotic short stories are nothing but sex, sex, sex). But frankly the plot was so ridiculous that I couldn't bear to give it a higher rating. Here it is in a nutshell, but prepare to be spoiled. Soooo, yeah. I can't quite suspend my disbelief that much.
Olivia Hall does her homework well when picking a "mark" from which to steal. Never in her wildest dreams could she prepare for the punishment that Marcus Montcrieff would exact when he catches her cracking his safe.
A Contemporary short Erotic Romance that whets fans of the authors appetite for more, even if it is a bit shallow the story is still fun.
This was a great in between book. It was super short, quick, and packed a lot of punch. Olivia and Marcus story was super steamy and well put together. I wish this was a full length novel. I love the idea that Olivia is an Art Thief. Who wouldn't love tall, dark, and sexy Marcus. This was a great freebie I picked up.
Another good short story by Tina Folsom. I know they are supposed to be short, but they always leave me wanting more and this one was no exception. My biggest issue with them is how instantly the hero and heroine fall in love with promises of a hea future. Still, they're fun and entertaining.
A solid 3 stars;) It would have received a better rating if it didn't just end abruptly. Another shortie, however I wish there was more to this story. I could really see myself getting wrapped up in the characters and plot.
Quickie from Tina Folsom. Art thief Olivia must consider an indecent proposal when she's caught in the act trying to steal a priceless artifact from Marcus. Not much here, but what there is of setup, storyline, and sexy times is well-written and hot.
No story, just sex scenes. And not even good ones. H/h just cookie cutter, no reason to feel any attachment to either. Would probably have been a DNF if it weren't so short.
For a short story this was quite good, more of a plot then I usually find with stories of this length. If she ever decided to expand this story I would buy it and I hope she would.
Liked it but way too short, loved the scanguard series and was hoping to read more of that. I love the style of this author and will read anything she writes after reading the scanguard series.
