A short introduction to different languages may be helpful for those who are exploring which languages they'd like to learn to read. I didn't find the phonetics to especially helpful because there doesn't seem to be universal agreement on what these phonetics sound like nor is it well established in schools, like trying to explain to someone what a song sounds like when they'd never heard anything like that song. Content of basic vocabulary and phrases are scarce. I'm having a difficult time imagining someone trying to learn 25 languages, so there's only a slice of this book that will be helpful but need bookmarking to find quickly as a reference. If this were 25 different books at $3 apiece, this would make more sense to me.

Free book, so can't bitch too much, however:

* The order of languages was seemingly random. Should be in order of "most spoken" or something more logical.
* Needs more consistency in what order stuff is presented: some were pronunciation, then phrases, then numbers. Others were a little different. I think pronunciation should be first.
* Hindi was split -- started in the middle and eventually after a few pages I was in Hindi Phrasebook.
* Missing how to say "cheers" in the other languages. This would be the most important word for me. ;)

Overall, I enjoyed the book and it was free.
