a entrevista motivacional es una herramienta, que forma parte de la psicologia humanista desarrollada por carl Rogers, y su meta es clarificar y resolver la ambivalencia que el individuo sufre, construir andamios por medio de la disonancia cognitiva para que un cambio sea duradero y fortalecer el compromiso al cambio en el comportamiento, hacia un estilo mas adaptativo de relacionarso con el medio ambiente, esto por medio de la introspección cuidadosa y colaboracion del paciente, a lo largo de todo el curso de la terapia.
se busca, formarr un fuerte vinculo y una buena relacion con el paciente, utilizar el humor y disfrutar de la relacion humna que se da en la terapia, identificar desencadenantes de conductas maladaptativas de tipo externo pero sobre todo interno, crear una red de apoyo y utilizar refuerzos positivos para que el cambio producido sea duradero.
es un libro super didactico y util para la practica clinica diaria.
