Quite possibly one of the worst books I have ever read. The premise, apocalypse around the year 2000, was intriguing enough and there was an obvious biblical link to genesis. However, it was so poorly executed and ill-thought out that I couldn’t take any of it seriously. It read like a young adult novel but not in a way that I think even a 1980s young adult would find particularly exciting. The descriptions tried too hard and failed. There were decent passages but the flip-flopping between points of view from one paragraph to the next was irritating at best - didn’t even have the decency to wait until the next chapter! It’s mercifully short so read for novelty value if you have nothing better to do and I sincerely hope you enjoy it more than I did!
