Shelves: picture-books
A too poetic and too fuzzily illustrated picture book about the long life (and death) of a Sitka spruce in the Pacific Northwest rainforest. Neither the writing nor the pictures are bold enough to capture a young audience. Not recommended.

A beautifully illustrated fable with an excellent environmental message but with a tendenecy to be too preachy.
