I'm going through some of my brother's books, and I decided to read this one for the nostalgia. The instructions and illustrations are clear and concise, and it includes a number of puzzles for you to work through to test your understanding. There are also interesting bits of trivia scattered throughout. It's worth a read not just for people who have never played before but also for casual players looking at refreshing or expanding their knowledge.

Short and sweet , to the point. Very good instructions and illustrations. Especially for beginners such as my self. It is a little old 1980,1987 but still very good as a beginner starter or young persons book. Also very good if you want to have a starter book in your hand to study and take your time and not have to pay for it. Get a copy cheap used good condition online or at your library.

By the time -thanks to the internet-you didn't need to ask other people to practice, the buzz was killed and I wasn't interested anymore.
