Souvenirs from royal weddings have always been in high demand. Here is a book about five wedding of five English monarchs who ruled during the 19th and 20th centuries. “Five Gold Rings: A Royal Wedding Souvenir” gives details of each bride and bridegroom, wedding clothes, foods served, and some of the gifts. If you enjoy books about royal couples, wedding trends, or the history of weddings and royal weddings you will enjoy this book. I recommend it.

This is a fluffy memorabilia album compiled by the Royal Librarian, but it jumped off the shelf at the library and into my hands and I enjoyed flipping through it. The overviews of the upbringing, courtship, engagement, and weddings of the five British Queens (and Princes/Kings) included are simple sketches, but the artifact images included are interesting to peruse from a material culture AND a 'wow the opulence' perspective. I had fun (and it was a super quick read, which, let's be clear, I needed).

If you're planning a wedding, you could do worse than taking a few pointers from the royal family. For example, you can have as many wedding cakes as you like! SO MANY CAKES. Also, you should create a display of the fancy gifts you receive, sell admission tickets to the public, then donate the proceeds to charity. Brilliant.

Oh also, Elizabeth II's double-strand pearl necklace in her wedding ensemble? Just TWO DIFFERENT PEARL NECKLACES, worn together. Mind blown.

A great book to see when and where each couple was born, when they got engaged, all the presents they got, what the cakes looked like and most importantly what the wedding dressed looked like. Great little read.
