Arthur’s tooth is another Marc Brown classic. I literally love the entire Brown series, and used to watch the Arthur show every single day, until the day it stopped being aired on television. I think this book is a great picture of the milestone that children feel they have achieved after losing their first tooth. Arthur’s Tooth is a great book to have in the classroom because there will be a lot of younger children in elementary school who are going through the process of losing their baby teet ...more

Arthurs Tooth is about everyones favorite anteater Arthur and his frustrations about being the only student in his class who hasn't lost a tooth yet. His first baby tooth is starting to wiggle but he cant seem to get it out. All of his friends all believe they have the best way to get his tooth out, but he cant get any of them to work and he fears he’ll never be able to lose his tooth. Eventually his friend Francine knocks it out and all is well again

Arthur is the only one in class that hasn't lost a tooth yet. He tries everything to get his loose tooth to fall out, but a little help from his friends may be all he really needs.

I put five stars because it had a lot information about pulling your tooth out. A reason I didn't like it is because they were making fun of Arthur.

"Arthur's Tooth" is in a series of Arthur books by author Marc Brown. Arthur is seven years old and in elementary school, and he is the only one in his class that hasn't lost a tooth yet. He feels embarrassed and like a baby because of his full set of teeth, and it doesn't help that other students are making fun of him for that. He is determined to lose his tooth, so he tries everything to do so. He wiggles it in class, he eats corn and steak for dinner, he even goes to the dentist, who tells hi ...more

In this Arthur book, Marc Brown tackles some tough issues--teasing, alienation, and "late blooming." Arthur is the only one of his classmates that has yet to lose a tooth. Because of it, he is teased by his friend Francine, and even alienated when she declares that only kids who have lost a tooth can participate in a game of "tooth fairy." However, Francine accidentally knocks on Arthur's very loose tooth, and the book ends happily. While this book does not address how to deal with the aforement ...more

All of Marc Browns books are my favorite. I have every single one of them and I have met Marc Brown when I was little. I think the books are great and the tv show is awesome as well. These books are all considered a series. Arthur’s tooth is a good book to have in the classroom because it could teach students about losing their teeth. Arthur is the only kid in his class that hasn’t lost a tooth yet. His tooth is wiggly, but it just won’t come out. It could teach children that it is ok that your ...more

My daughter has her first loose tooth and we found this book for one dollar at a used book store and she really wanted it. Arthur appeals to kids in a way adults do not comprehend (at least I don't), kind of like Elmo and Barney. I would give this book 1 star, my daughter would give it 5; 3 is the compromise. I am not a fan of the "Arthur" franchise. I do not like the illustrations and quite often the content; for example the scary imagery of the dentist in the book and the way Arthur's classma ...more

I really liked this book because it certainly can help students share stories about when they lost their first tooth as well as help students who may not have lost any yet not to feel out of place. This book would be great to share with students because it gets examples of Arthur being made fun of and how it doesn't feel good. Students will be given the opportunity to look at how they treat others. A cute lesson plan I observed that followed the book was a game of placing marshmallows on the "te ...more

Marc Tolon Brown is perhaps best known for his Arthur series of children's books.

He lives on Martha's Vineyard and in New York City with his wife, Laurie Krasny Brown. He has three children, sons Tolon and Tucker, and daughter Eliza. The names of his two sons have been hidden in all of the Arthur books except for one: Arthur's Tooth.
