A new-agey approach to health after a crisis. The premise was good, but I felt that the subject matter was too broad. I would have enjoyed it more had it been more focused...perhaps just after surgery, or just after illness. This book covers a whole range of experiences from the person suffering to the caregiver from a minor illness to terminal illness.

This book is sort of an emotional coping book of ideas for the bedridden. It didn't help me as much as I'd hoped, since I'm not bedridden, just immensely fatigued and unable to do all the things I'm used to being able to do. After I realized I had renewed it twice at the library and still hadn't finished it, I decided it was time to let it go.
