For the very basics of mathematics- couldn't have been explained better. Includes tricky sides of fractions, percentages, averages , mixtures, ratio and proportions , profits/losses etc.

A great book until the numerous errors start popping up.
How can I trust a book when the information in it is not correct?
Please hire an editor.
Besides that, the book covers a wide variety of real-world math
problems. In particular, chapter one teaches the basic concepts of
ratios and fractions and presents the problems in three stages of
difficulty, from 1 chili pepper to 3 chili peppers. The students complain
but they appreciate the real world aspect of the problems.

It was helpful to refresh my rusty math skills (the ones we should be using to interpret everyday graphs, sales, pay rates, percentages, and statistics). I appreciated the step by step explanations, and then felt good about solving most of the math sets. I was pretty convinced that a couple of the book's answers are wrong. (Unless I'm wrong.)

Amazing little math book covering some of the most frequently used mathematical concepts in day-to-day life. Definitely worth referencing for any unexpected pitfalls in mathematical intelligence.
