I love dogs and I visited Alaska, so when Mrs. Conroy showed me this book I was interested in it because I knew a little about the Iditarod race. This specific story was written by a GIRL musher who entered this race. She describes the experiences she endured. Quite an experience! One I enjoyed reading about, but would not want to experience firsthand.
