My students really enjoyed this "sing aloud." It prompted them to want to write their 12 Days of Christmas.

A fun southwest twist to the 12 Days of Christmas. This might be better to use in a school-age group, since they're more familiar with the original song. While I think it would be fun to do with preschoolers, I may have too many Christmas-y books for the first day of December (and for a supposed-to-be non-favoritism appearance with a holiday at storytime).

A fun new version of the The 12 Days of Christmas - with a southwestern twist! This would be an excellent model for students who would like to write their own version of this classic Christmas carol.

A southwestern version of 'The Twelve Days of Christmas.' A nice book to read for the holidays, especially if you need to add a little southwest flavor.
