Excellent novella in what I hope will be a lengthy series!
Hetgarib's Curse takes the young Paladin and old Necromancer on what proves to be a step along the way of each of their parallel quests, through a divinely plagued town, where they pause for healing and setting things aright. Hijinks ensue, and we get to know these characters strengths and integrity a bit better, as they do of one another.
One appreciates the depiction and touch of the divine in these books. If you like Lois McMaster Bujold's imminent five-fold deities in her Chalion & Penric books, you may be intrigued with these gods and their servant and, er, non-servant in C. M. Alongi's work.
