That was cute. I snickered couple times. It was quite insta, had that love at first sight and declared ILY fast enough. Although this lack on my romance department, this book felt easy, fast and sweet.

Hawke Oakley just has a way of writing fated mates and mpreg that is sweet, sometimes funny, sexy, and always satisfying. The story of Jett, the Basilisk shifter, and his sweet omega, Tomah, was a perfect example of this. I loved the unique shifter and the added concern of whether or not Jett could actually look at his mate without turning him to stone. The backdrop of the garden center/nursery was a quaint yet perfect place for plant loving Tomah to meet the Alpha of his dreams and I really enjoyed this fairly quick read.

Basilisk Finds Love

Jett is a basilisk and he runs s a garden store. One day he meets Tomah who is so excited about the place he crashes in the ditch. I thought was adorable as could be. The problem that Jett has is that he's terrified he'll turn Tomah to stone since that's what a basilisk can do.

I knew that there would be a way around it and found what was possible was perfect when comes to Tomah being an antidote of sorts.

The usual formula which I love no real drama fated mates them getting pregnant. I loved this book and the garden they have is perfect.

What a marvelous book! This is a great addition to the Fairytale Mates series. Having a basilisk alpha is unique. Having his fated mate negate his petrification is beyond cool. I fell in l love with Jett and Tomah from the beginning. And don't get me started on the gardening stuff. Be on the lookout for lovely if nosy neighbors, and an overprotective momma moose. You will simply love this delightful book!

Sweet Read

Short and sweet read! Loved the description of the basilisk in this. There were some misspellings, grammatical errors and at one point "Jett" was called "Jack" which jarred me out of the story for a second.

Still, Tomah and Jett were a cute couple and they had a sweet HEA. There's one steamy scene for those interested of course.

I loved The Basilisk Baby by Hawke Oakley. It's the thirteenth book in the Fairytale Mates series. I loved Jett and Tomah's story. I loved Tomah's enthusiasm about plants and his utter fascination and acceptance of Jett while in his shifted form. I read this book using the Kindle Unlimited program.

This is a paranormal queer romance with mpreg, the thirteenth book in a series that doesn’t need to be read in order. I thought this was an adorable book to read , especially after suffering from a book hangover from my previous book! This book was a short read about two fated mates and gardening, it was worth the time to read.

This was a cute short story. There really wasn't much to it. No angst to speak of and all conflicts were resolved quickly. Still what was there was okay. I just wish there was more to the story after the baby was born.

A very sweet Alpha/Omega short story which includes insta-love, which I adore, and a Basilisk shifter, which I'd never heard of before. The huge restrictions on Jett's life is kinda sad but life has its way to make things work. It's just a lovely enjoyable little tale.

Gardening, mythical creatures, no angst, and a baby! Some of my favorite things in an easy to read novella. Jett is awesome - a super sweet shifter alpha who is a total flirt instead of a growly grump. This was absolutely delightful.
