If you’re looking for the perfect feel-good Christmas novel, then look no further than Annie England Noblin’s newest novel. This book will absolutely delight any reader looking for a sweet and sassy read—and not to mention enchant the fans of Annie’s signature canine characters. Perfect for fans of Jill Shalvis, Sarah Morgan, Lori Wilde, and Susan Mallery.
Rosie Reynolds had come to lakeside Corgi Cove as a lost, lonely girl abandoned by her own mother, but there she discovered a true place to call home. She loves her Corgis, Bonnie and Clyde; loves the lakeside life; and loves her aunt and uncle most of all. But when she discovers their struggling inn is about to be bought out by some big city chain, she hatches a plan -- to win a contest naming theirs the best Christmas-themed inn in the USA. It's a long shot, but she knows if the whole town pulls together that they can do it.
But she didn’t count on Everett St Claire, who emerged from his gleaming, black BMW, straightening his tie and asking himself how did a big-city guy like him find himself in a speck on the map like Corgi Cove? And how fast could he get back to the city? After all, it couldn’t be that difficult to convince one elderly couple to take the money to retire. He didn’t count on getting sucked into life on the lake. Sure, the people might be…eccentric, and Rosie might seem like a pain in the backside, but there is something alluring about the place. And with the holidays nearing, and the deadline looming, Rosie and Everett are about to discover the magic of a Christmas at Corgi Cove.
This is the second Noblin book that I’ve read. Last year, it was Christmas in Blue Dog Valley so Christmas at Corgi Cove continues my Noblin doggie Christmas reads. I have to be honest though, it was the title and cover that got my attention first before I even realized that I had read Noblin before.
I had the honor of being dog mama, for about 10yrs, to a sassy, spunky, mischievous, commanding, little lovebug, who hubby and I called Lil Sadie Baby. We believe our Lil Sadie Baby was mostly a Cardigan Corgi, with all the typical Corgi features. The vet estimated that our Lil Sadie Baby was probably around five yrs old when we adopted her. Lil Sadie Baby crossed over the rainbow bridge several years ago, but she is still memorialized with all our other beloved fur babies.
Anyway, the book summary lays out the premise for the primary storyline. What the book summary doesn’t reveal is that in the prologue, 15yr old Rosie was dumped at her aunt Mary and uncle Joe’s inn, Corgi Cove, because Rosie’s newly married mother and stepfather couldn’t “handle” her anymore after her latest stunt (staying out past her curfew and not doing what she’s told). Seems Rosie was a typical teenager (OMG!!! Shocker!!!). Anyway, fast forward 12yrs and Rosie has never left and absolutely LOVES Corgi Cove.
Most of the story revolves around the contest and preparing the Corgi Cove for the contest photo shoot. There was also a Thanksgiving Day party that Elliot, the rep from the company pressuring Mary and Joe to sell, basically invites himself to and crashes the party by booking a stay (he already has an apartment in town). There is a secondary storyline of the budding attraction between Rosie and Elliot and another one regarding the contentuous relationship between Mary and her sister (and Rosie's mom) Katherine. The story flips back and forth between Rosie’s POV and Elliot’s. Apparently, Elliot’s job is on the line if he doesn’t get Mary and Joe to agree to sell to the Lake Queen company so that they can expand their hotel across the lake.
The ending is very sweet and satisfying. Loved the sibling duo of Bonnie and Clyde!!! They were typical Corgis, and it made for some hilarious scenes. The whole Thanksgiving incident had me cracking up with tears coming down my face. Bonnie and Clyde’s antics and shenanigans reminded me of my Lil Sadie Baby and many of our own fur babies. I want to thank NetGalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for sending me this eARC in exchange for my honest review.
Just the CUTEST and HEARTWARMING Christmas novel I’ve read this season! I completely devoured this book! Plus there were corgis, so that was a win-win for me! CHRISTMAS AT CORGI COVE is a sweet holiday romance about a businessman trying to buy a bed and breakfast inn called Corgi Cove, because they’re two rambunctious corgis named Bonnie and Clyde living at the place. Everett (the businessman) may be a pain for Rosie Reynolds, the family inn’s niece, after finding out a way to rescue the inn while he’s here at Corgi Cove. And they soon discover the magic of Christmas for them and the friends of Corgi Cove. A fast-paced holiday romance with little steam, but will have you falling in love with the story, characters, and of course, the corgis! A must read for those who Christmas novels with dogs in them!
Christmas is all around us. Even if it's only October. Let's get those stocking stuffers ready and dive into one of the best things about the holidays. The romance of it all! I'm all wrapped up in the holiday spirit with Christmas at Corgi Cove by Annie England Noblin.
Who can resist a Christmas romance with Corgis on the cover? Not me. Rosie Reynolds came to live with her aunt and uncle when she was 15. They own a B&B an hour from Austin. It is on a lakeside called Corgi Cove. Rosie is now 27 and lives in a cottage on the property and in addition to helping at the B&B she has her own hives and makes honey products. Corgi Cove has lost its luster and most people go to the lakeside resort and hotel. Everett St. Claire arrives from NYC to meet with the aunt and uncle about purchasing the property for the resort to expand. If they don’t take action soon it may fall into foreclosure. Everett is on the outs at his job and needs the deal to happen. But health issues, a feisty Rosie and a supportive community get in the way.
This is a feel good, small town, romance. Everett isn’t the big city slicker he wants to be and is charmed by Rosie and the townspeople. A last ditch effort trying to win a contest may save the day. I’m new to the author and glad she gives both POVs. She also keeps things fairly wholesome like when there is concern that a kiss almost happens. Overall, this is a light, enjoyable and easy to predict outcome. I enjoyed my few hours I spent reading it but the cover to me is the most memorable thing about the book.
Thank you to NetGalley and Avon and Harper Voyager, for the ARC and I am leaving a voluntary review. (3.5 Stars)
A heartfelt, opposites attract, dual POV romance that sees a small town woman fighting to protect her aunt and uncles' inn as a big city developer tries to move in and buy it at a profit for his grinchy boss.
Perfect for Hallmark Holiday movie fans, this book is a tad spicy but overall a feel-good read. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital copy in exchange for my honest review!
I received a free copy of, Christmas at Corgi Cove, by Annie England Noblin, from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Rosie Reynolds has two corgis Bonnie and Clyde, she has a life in Corgi Cove, after being abandoned as a child. When Everett St. Claire arrives in town it throws Rosie's world upside down. Will this be her best Christmas ever? Corgis are such sweet little dogs, Rosie and Everett are such a cute pair, a very pleasurable read.
Such a great read! Falls under the "Inn-in-trouble" trop where a family has to figure out how to save their old, outdated B&B or risk losing it to a big resort chain. A small town with lovable, quirky characters, lots of funny moments, and a slow-burn romance in the background. The two corgis, Bonnie and Clyde, were great. I will reread it!
I adore this author's books and am impatient every time I have to wait for another new release from her.
First of all can I just say this cover is adorable What would corgi cove be without Boonie and Clyde the mascots of the Bed and breakfast This is a perfect read for a quiet cool evening. It can easly be read in a couple hours Did I mention it has not one but two corgi's
I loved Bonnie and Clyde!!!
My thanks to NetGalley, the author and publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review

This book I just couldn’t put down! Rosie went to go live with her aunt and uncles inn. A big city chain wants to buy it but she doesn’t want her family to loose it. She decides to put the inn in a contest to win the best Christmas theme in USA.
This was a delightful read. I laughed out loud in parts and smiled through others. The characters are memorable and fun. A perfect feel good story for this time of the year. I won this Kindle book through Goodreads Giveaways and am so glad I did.
If you’re looking for a Hallmark movie in a book, look no further! Obviously I had to purchase this book based solely on the cover and the title. Christmas AND corgis?!?! Yes please! There was lots of both in this book with a slow burn romance mixed in as well. I loved the small town and community of misfits there. I loved the shenanigans of the two corgis. It was a perfect read for this month and got me in the holiday spirit.
You really expect me to believe they did the Hallmark ending? Like, a traditional Hallmarky ending. I'm not kidding. It really does end with the big city executive man (who was sent to buy out the bed and breakfast) settling down with the woman who was struggling to keep the business running and giving up his six-figure job to help run the floundering b and b. I'm just saying, it's a little ridiculous. Was it cute? Absolutely. Was it funny? Yes. Was it unrealistic? Definitely.
Again, I'm getting ahead of myself ... here's a synopsis of this book: The Corgi Cove is in deep financial trouble. Rosie has been helping her aunt and uncle run the business since she was abandoned by her mother there at 15 years old. Now, 27 years old, Rosie will do anything to save her home, even from the attractive Everett who was sent to buy it for a large hotel chain. While Everett is there, he gets to know the people in the tiny resort town and ultimately gets to know Rosie and falls for her while assisting with getting them in shape to compete for a magazine competition that will provide the ample funds to get the bed and breakfast back on its feet.
Now, in typical fashion, there's a big misunderstanding that occurs that causes the main heroine to doubt the hero's motives, but ultimately, they come back together in a big way when it matters at the end. Don't get me wrong ... I ADORE Hallmark movies; I watch them on repeat throughout the Christmas season. I watch freaking TikToks about people who act them out because of their predictability. And this book was no exception. Christmas at Corgi Cove was funny, had some bittersweet moments, and I loved the setting of the area. But ultimately, I wondered if the author just took one of the plots and recycled it a little too perfectly to the Hallmark formula and it became a bit of a yawn fest. I think this author has mad potential though, so I'd pick up any book she writes now. :)
What I absolutely LOVED was how they fixed up the relationship between Rosie and her mother. It's kind of this subplot that is saturated throughout the whole story. The reader knows that their relationship is so broken and you just want to know if it can be repaired. It was so intense at times that I was aching for a reconciliation. I found it so interesting and I looked forward to every single chapter. I also really liked Rosie as a character because she was so determined to do everything herself, fix everything on her own terms and was unwilling to rely immediately on the hunky man who puts on a flannel shirt. Instead, she ALLOWED him to help when he asked, but wasn't just a shy wallflower who doubts her own abilities. I also really like how she CHANGED in the story. There is a legit transformation as she learns how to trust the people in her life to assist her and it made for a very good read.
By the end of the book, I was happy that I had read it and I felt warm and fluffy with the Christmas season.
In the normal course of things I would give this two stars, or most likely not even read it, but it gets bumped up to three because it is a Christmas book, it takes place in Texas, and it has corgis. It is a sappy romance, yes, but it is not as gaggy as it could be. The guy who causes the ruckus, whom you know the heroine will end up with is fairly likeable from the start, so that's ok. What's hard to take is that some big corporate glamor resort on the other side of a li'l Texas lake is practically waging all out war in its attempt to shut down a run down bed and breakfast that doesn't even offer it any competition so it can build a twin resort of itself in its place. I don't buy that. This is The Hill Country we're talking about, not Branson, Mo. Now, tearing it down to build a data farm, that's a real fear.
And Merry Christmas to you, all you venture capitalists.
I started this book this afternoon and found myself skimming through the chapters. The book reads like a Hallmark Movie and it is just not to my taste. The plot is the same old down-on-their luck bed and breakfast. Big corporate resort wanting to buy the B&B, tear it down, and build some fancy resort hotel.
If you're looking for a Hallmark book, this would be the book for you. I really don't want to give it a low rating just because it isn't "my taste".
Thanks to Net Galley for providing an ARC to read for my honest review.
A charming inn, two adorable Corgis, and holiday, romantic atmosphere make this a lighthearted, enjoyable read. Rosie has entered a contest, hoping that the struggling inn belonging to her aunt and uncle will be chosen as best Christmas-themed inn in the USA. Things get complicated when Everett arrives from the city to try to save the inn from financial ruin. For lovers of light romance, dogs, and Christmas themed books, Christmas at Corgi Cove will make for delightful reading.
Thanks to Net Galley and Avon and Harper Voyager, Avon for the gifted advance reader's copy. My review is my own.
Very sweet holiday read. Corgi Cove is a little B and B owned by Mary and Joe. Rosie came to live with them when she was a troubled teenager and grew to love her aunt and uncle and the Cove. But now an exclusive resort has opened in the little community and they are at risk of losing their livelihood and home.
Everett is sent by the resort owners to offer to buy the place, in hopes of "saving " it. I won't give it away, but you might be able to guess what happens.
I picked this one up expecting a terrible book with Corgis. It was available as was my attention span. I was kind of shocked that this was pretty good. The classic evil person come to buy a families legacy, but is there more there tale. I enjoyed all of the characters the dogs are background characters, and it has plenty of Christmas. You’ll be able to predict this one pretty quick. Perfectly ok quick book.
Loved, Loved, Loved this book....thank you Corgi's! The characters were fun and and I love how they got along with each other. Rosie and Emmett where super cute and I was rooting for them all throughout. The setting sounded nice and I would defiantly, 100% stay at a place that had the name Corgi Cove Inn. I liked the shortness of each chapter and the pacing of the book. The audiobook was good and defiantly recommend for a cute cozy Christmas read. P.S. I want Bonnie and Clyde!!!!!
I received my copy of Christmas at Corgi Cove from a contest on Goodreads. I loved this book! I mean Corgis! What's not to love! I want to move to Corgi Cove. This is a cosy Christmas romance with Corgis! It's a great book I intend to read again this December curled up with a cup of tea and hopefully a snowy day.
When Everett, a businessman from New York shows up at Corgi Cove to offer them a deal for their property, Rosie immediately starts looking for a solution. When her friend shows her a magazine article for a contest trying to find a Texan Diamond in the Rough, she writes an essay and submits photos of the bed and breakfast, hoping for a miracle. In the meantime, Everett's deal is put on hold, but he sticks around, helping out at Corgi Cove, and getting to know Rosie a little better, too.
This was a heartwarming read for Christmas! Very Hallmark movie-esque and predictable to the very end, but dang was it cozy. I loved Rosie's aunt and uncle, and of course their two corgis, Bonnie and Clyde, stole the show in every scene they were in!
Got this as a gift from my Nana last year for Christmas. Though it was very hallmark movie-esque, which I'm not usually a fan of, it was better than I expected! The characters were quite flat but it never felt too cheesy or cringe. I enjoyed it. :)
4/5 - This was such a charming and comforting read. The characters were sweet and easy to love, and the whole story felt like a warm hug from start to finish. It’s not groundbreaking, but it’s the perfect kind of cute, cozy book to curl up with during the holidays.
