3,5/5 This new Sherlock Holmes premise was quite intrigueing. I mean, Sherlock Holmes meets vampires! And they are old school vampires, not these modern ones, which was refreshing to see. Storywise, the first graphic novel was a bit slow paced but this sequel had a healthy amount of action and a new approach to Holmes who was more an action hero, rather than always deductive sleuth. I liked it. The only thing lacking were pages and that's why I gave it a 3,5. The drawings are phenomenal and the first person narrative is a plus. I enjoyed it as a mystery novel fan and also as a fan of the supernatural beings.

“I'm not a man to be governed by sentiments. Even if I wanted to, it's too late.” - Sherlock (p51)
“Why choose this place?” “I have fond memories … My family lived less than a mile from here and got supplies from the farm. As I was a curious child and liked by the owners, they taught me about their daily lives. It is in this forge that I learnt patience, a certain sense of method, satisfaction of a job well done... qualities which served me when I became interested in the violin and then chemistry.” - Sherlock (p82)
“There is one thing I believe in: the humane side of a criminal, however hardened he be, deserves to cultivated.” - Sherlock (p92)
