3,5/5 This new Sherlock Holmes premise was quite intrigueing. I mean, Sherlock Holmes meets vampires! And they are old school vampires, not these modern ones, which was refreshing to see. Storywise, the first graphic novel was a bit slow paced but this sequel had a healthy amount of action and a new approach to Holmes who was more an action hero, rather than always deductive sleuth. I liked it. The only thing lacking were pages and that's why I gave it a 3,5. The drawings are phenomenal and the first person narrative is a plus. I enjoyed it as a mystery novel fan and also as a fan of the supernatural beings.

Again, excellent graphics, but the płot was completely not engaging, with plotholes here and there.

I like this one better than the first one! Somehow I connected better with the characters and understood their actions and belifs.

I really liked that Sherlock helped Chanes in the end, even though he thought vampires were disguisting creatures of hell.

“Sherlock Holmes and the Vampires of London” by by Sylvain Cordurié, Daniel Chabon (Editor), Laci (Illustrations) (2013) Volume#2

“I'm not a man to be governed by sentiments. Even if I wanted to, it's too late.” - Sherlock (p51)

“Why choose this place?”
“I have fond memories … My family lived less than a mile from here and got supplies from the farm. As I was a curious child and liked by the owners, they taught me about their daily lives.
It is in this forge that I learnt patience, a certain sense of method, satisfaction of a job well done... qualities which served me when I became interested in the violin and then chemistry.” - Sherlock (p82)

“There is one thing I believe in: the humane side of a criminal, however hardened he be, deserves to cultivated.” - Sherlock (p92)
