Sectioned well with lots of good input and wise content. I resonated with the scriptures and short prayers. The financial section was the most practical and helpful, and the new relationships section helped me formulate a plan and a healthy perspective. Definitely emphasized personal growth, change, and a relationship with God.
Really important to note that there is little to no content that addresses or even acknowledges physical abuse in a divorce or separation. Depending on the day, I had a really hard time with devotionals and sections that assumed that my divorce was solely the result of cheating or pride or “irreconcilable differences.” I never felt like the safety or healing topics in cases of domestic violence were ever adequately addressed.

I just finished leading a DivorceCare group. Really good material. There are videos and small group discussion in each meeting. The book is awesome. There was only one session that I totally disagreed with. The founders take a very narrow view of what constitutes biblical grounds for divorce. They do not mention abuse...a huge oversight

Very encouraging!
I strongly recommend this book. Even though my divorce is still pending in the courts in a 2 year long process, the encouraging words and experience and testimony of others have made me know I'm not alone and that I will get through this and have a great life in the other side.

Amazing Book
I started reading this book after I had begun my healing journey. Every step I had already experienced were described perfectly and the rest were described as I went through them. This book was exactly what I needed at exactly the right time!

Wish I'd had this much earlier, it would have been that helpful at the early stages of my divorce.
