第１巻から舞台は変わって、殺人ウイルスと戦う日本人が主人公になる。第1巻よりもかなりの年数を遡った時代での物語だ。冥王斑ウイルスに罹患したものの生き残った千茅という女性が、おそらく第1巻のイサリとなんらかの関係が出てくるのではないかと思うが、そこは明かされない。第1巻から引き続き伏線と思われる出来事がたくさんあり、今後のストーリー展開に期待を持たせる。この巻はウイルスから人類を救う一種のパニック小説の体をなす。単体で読んでも面白いだろうが、伏線の絡み具合を楽しめくなるので、最初から読むことをお奨めする。まだまだ先は長いので、気長に読んでいきたい。

The mysteries are killing me!!
The story takes place on Earth in present times, but it's all connected to the events and characters that come up in the first installment where the story takes place hundreds of years later on another planet!
You get glimpses of information and super important clues (like people's names that seems familiar but you don't know from where) that are so casually thrown in you really need to pay attention to detail!!! But I loved piecing together these tidbits and figuring out just what the hell happened on Earth that lead to the future we see in book 1.
