This book is a must have for any serious Bible scholar to get the full original meaning(s) and/or context(s) of the words that have been transliterated from their languages. We read the Bible in English, but understanding the nuances of the words chosen by one translation (or another) helps the student better comprehend the original intended meaning of the verse of scripture. This is a vital study aid to for one reaching beyond the limits of our contemporary definitions seeking to understand the scriptures as the original audiences would have received them.

what is an expository dictionary? An expository dictionary is a reference work which provides definitions to the original Greek and Hebrew words of the Bible. (according to vsbibleschool. )
according to Oxford Languages expository means 1. intended to explain or describe something.
2. serving to expound, set forth, or explain.
While an expository dictionary is a dictionary that will provide the Hebrew or Greek meaning behind a particular word and explain how it’s used in various contexts. This can aid in doing further study and is particularly helpful when doing word studies. (according to real bible experiences)

now that we got that out of the way. Vine's complete expository dictionary of the Old and New Testament words with topical index keyed to strong's reference numbers. so the vines work with strong's Hebrew and Greek dictionaries which is very convenient for the user. As you continue to read your bible and explore its meaning through both the bible dictionary and the expository dictionary helps you to continue to expand your knowledge on the word of God so that you can pass on what you are learning to others. you don't have to be a minister or a teacher to reach them and share the word of God with others.
in fact in Mark 16:15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

as you continue to use your vines and get the true meaning of the Hebrew and Greek words. and how their meaning applies to a particular verse and what it means. I also know that it will expand your knowledge and you will be blessed when you understand a certain verse's meaning. also if you can't afford to buy all these different books like Vine's or any commentaries and so on there are several sites online you can look at where you cut and paste and some you can download onto your phone, PC, or laptop. just use Google and type in Vines for example. that will help you find what you are looking for.
several sites are available for resource books and commentaries as well as an expository dictionary.

This book is for me a reference. As such it's not one I start and finish, but I do refer to it off and on.

This is a must have for any christian resource. When researching I compare the definitions of this book with thayer greek and strong's greek and hebrew definitions of the bible and brown driver briggs hebrew lexicon.

I recommend having a medley of Biblical resources to reference when studying the word. This book is in my medley, and should be in your too!

This is an awesome resource to get into the original language of the Bible. Hebrew is such a deep, detailed, expressive language and the translation into English cannot express the original message sometimes. I highly recommend you keep this handy while getting into The Word.

Definitely a must for the serious student of God's Word. The topical index is very helpful as is the dictionary. You never really finish "reading" this book. It's one to have on hand all the time. Having an electronic copy for reference is really nice.
