Originally born and raised in Muncie, Indiana, Patricia Thayer was the second of eight children. She attended Ball State University, and soon afterward she headed West. Over the years, she’s made frequent visits back to the Midwest, trying to keep up with her family’s numerous weddings and births.

Patricia has called Orange County, California home for many years. She not only enjoys the warm climate, but also the company and support of other published authors in the local writer’s organization. For the past eighteen years, she had the unwavering support and encouragement of her critique group. It’s a sisterhood like no other.

Together, they have three grown sons and four grandsons. As she calls them, her own true life heroes. On rare days off from writing, you might catch her at Disneyland, spoiling those grandkids rotten! She also volunteers for the Grandparent Autism Network.

Patricia has written for over 20 years and has authored over 35 books for Silhouette and Harlequin. She has been nominated for both the National Reader’s Choice Award and the prestigious RITA. Her book, Nothing Short of a Miracle won a Romantic Times Reviewer’s Choice award.

Review for Bitten By Paranormal Romance

Two Stories wrapped in one volume

First story: Snowbound Cowboy - Rating: 5 Stars

OUTSTANDING! EXCELENT READ!

What a heartwarming story, it captured me right away and I couldn't put the book down. Such a sweet romance story and a happy Christmas for everyone in the end. I even cried in the end because of the happy ending. The author gives a couple of recipes in the book - here is one of the favorites:

PEPPERMINT KISS BROWNIES
A regular box of brownie mix
HERSHEY'S KISSES or Chocolate drops
Crushed peppermint candy canes

"I use heart-shaped muffin tins, but you can use an 8 X 11 pan. Once they're filled, I push one HERSHEY'S KISS into each of the centers, or squares, then bake as directed. After they come out of the oven, sprinkle the crushed peppermint on top. Enjoy, Patricia Thayer"

Second Story - A Bride for Rocking H Ranch - Rating: 4 Stars

Another beautiful story for the Christmas season with lots of cold snowy blizzards and sweet loving romance. This story followed along with the first story only from the oldest sisters perspective and the events that happened during her absence from the ranch. The ending was great with both sister's getting their HEA but the first story was more touching/emotional with the young 5 year old boy involved.

I will say this though, this is definitely a book to read in the winter - the writing style made me feel as though I was right there experiencing everything. The description of the snow blizzard, the freezing tempatures and the electricity going out leaving the characters to survive for warmth by the nice fire place and body heat made me want to curl up on the couch with a nice blanket to stay warm myself.

Oh my goodness! Are you serious? This book has that high of a review? It was a painful read. It was a free download on amazon around Christmas time. 'oh! Hey strange dude I've never met. Come stay in my house with me and my kid so we can get snowed in together. I know you could be a child molester, rapist and/or killer but what the heck. And oh by the way I'm going to fall in love with you after only three days.' *eye roll*

I actually sat down and read this book in one sitting. It’s absolutely charming. Here are two sisters who, for entirely different reasons, have accepted spending the rest of their lives alone. They have totally made up their minds to run the family ranch and not think about having men in their futures.

However, the best laid plans aren’t always what come to fruition as they both find men who have similar issues and who are drawn to them. Against their better judgment, they give in and are able to find happiness.

This was a truly fun holiday read and one I’ll definitely add to my shelf of Christmas books I’ve been collecting the past couple years.

TRASH! Ill-written. I can't understand how a writer would write such crap...

I probably gave this book less stars than it really deserves, but there were times when it was lacking content. The one thing i did like was the lack of sex. Well, I should say, lack if a steamy sex scene. Yes, I know, it was a romance novel and that is common. And usually that doesn't bother me. It was just nice to read a romance novel and skip the sex part for a change.

Two feel good stories

It's always good to have happy endings even if life doesn't usually give us those. It was great to have xmas story, it's my favorite time of year also. They were short stories a quick read, which is nice for a change. I've never seen Montana and doubt I will but it does sound beautiful. I have grandchildren also they are mostly in their teens.

Fantastic reading in front of a warm wood fire on a chilly evening

Everything just seemed to flow right along without any hiccups. I would recommend these stories to anyone who’s desiring clean writing.

Cute

I liked the first story a bit more than the second but both were great. Short but heartfelt and sweet

I won this through the goodreads giveaways program.

Both stories in this collection were pretty good, they were tied together by the main female characters being sisters. I had a little bit of a difficult time really feeling for the characters in the first story in this book, I can't quite figure out why though. It was an interesting story, I rather liked the characters, I just couldn't identify with them. It might be because it was a pretty child-centric story. The second story made me tear up a bit, always a good sign. The only irritating point in the stories (both of them had this), was the way the two sisters were both so determined to show the other one that they could do something. It was mentioned a few times too many for me. (It bothered me a little more in the second story than it did in the first.) Their Christmas did sound lovely, and I really liked their grandma. Overall, it was a nice quick read, full of holiday spirit. It was a great way to wind-down after some Christmas celebrations.

Okay I think they should have put the second story first and let Amelia have her happily ever after second. This was a cute duo love story about two ranching sisters who have spent the most of their adult lives running the family ranch so much that they forgotten about their own hearts. Each sister has something that only time can heal and the courage to find love when it comes again. This is a mushy love story and I hate how they always fall in love and get married in such a short time, like days a week at most. That doesn't happen in real life. I know this why I read these types of stories but it really taints your view on love and romance.

Very disappointing on so many levels. This is not a real situation. She would not have let him in without some security. There is some chemistry. The other sisters story is also too graphic! No thanks!

Heartwarming book

I love books that have happy endings, in today's world life can be so complicated and it's great to read about some of these complications having a happy ending. Life does go on.

It was a concept. Two sisters. Two authors. The result is Happy Ever After for the ladies of the Rocking H Ranch.

Very nice book to read at the Holidays. It makes you still believe good things can happen. Even though it is a book.
