All My Lazy Rivers: An Indiana Childhood

Rate this book
Buddy is a boy growing up during the late 1940's through the early 1960's in Northwest Indiana. Fascinated but bewildered by the world around him, Buddy finds meaning through his family, friends, neighbors, and classmates (grades one through six). It is a world of the five senses, where Buddy at times misinterprets expectations of other people, making his story both universal and hilarious. The reader may see himself in Buddy's world, a world of beauty, absurdity, and occasional terror. It is a child's world remembered with affection by a grown-up, who is only a little less awed and bewildered as an adult than he was as a child.
