Psychic Healing: Using the Tools of a Medium to Cure Whatever Ails You

Rate this book
Sylvia Browne now gives us a marvelous book on self-healing. Largely made up of actual research trance transcripts from her guides, this book is a must for those who have chronic physical problems but who cannot find relief from conventional medicine. It’s not meant to replace this type of treatment, though, but to augment it. Sylvia also discusses her innovative and proven methods of healing relating to cell memory and morphic resonance.
Sylvia is one of the few deep-trance mediums in the world today, and the information that comes from her guides not only covers healing methods that give us the tools to heal ourselves and become more spiritual, but also gives us insights into preventive methods that ensure health and well-being so that we can live happier and healthier lives.

Sylvia Browne was an American author and self-proclaimed psychic who built a lucrative career through books, television appearances, and psychic readings. Known for her frequent guest spots on The Montel Williams Show and Larry King Live, she claimed to communicate with angels, spirit guides, and the deceased, and said she had psychic visions from the age of three. In 1986, she founded the Society of Novus Spiritus, a Gnostic Christian church, and ran a variety of businesses, reportedly earning millions annually.
Browne wrote over 40 books, many of which were bestsellers, and maintained a dedicated fanbase throughout her life. However, her career was marked by controversy. She made numerous high-profile predictions about missing persons and criminal cases that were later proven false—errors that drew widespread criticism and scrutiny from skeptics and media outlets. A 2010 study by the Skeptical Inquirer concluded she had not been accurate in any verifiable case. Her reputation suffered further after her 1992 conviction for securities fraud.
Despite criticism from figures like James Randi and John Oliver, Browne retained a devoted following. Her vague prediction about a “pneumonia-like illness” spreading around 2020 drew renewed attention during the COVID-19 pandemic. She remained a polarizing figure—revered by some, discredited by others—until her death in 2013 at the age of 77.

I found this book 3 years ago in a used book store after doing a book meditation.

What is a book meditation?⬇️

(I took some cleansing breaths, clearing all thoughts except the task at hand) I silently prayed (in my mind) while walking down the aisles for all the books that could help me on my healing journey in this exact moment to stand out boldly to me. — Let me be guided to them. I would purchase the books, give them a forever home and care for whatever wanted to care for me in return...

I invite you to try this next time you go seeking. (Try it at the library, because then it's free!)

Probably the most interesting book haul I ever did. I came out with a stack the size of me. Not kidding. INTENTION is powerful people, and should always be set forth. That day I acquired tons of healing titles by: Edgar Cayce, Soraya, Sylvia Browne, a huge book on Pilates and Relaxation, and many books on activating, sensing, and seeing the Energy Bodies, oh and 2 Stephen King books (just because I'd never read anything by him previously.) (Gotta have some fun amongst the studies because balance!) I was ready for that NEW NEW in all areas of my life.

These titles have been fascinating because I'm not someone with a "normal" life.

TIP: Our weirdness that we try to hide and suppress is actually our medicine to this planet and all of life. Explore your weird side. Learn what YOUR true boundaries are and what was SOCIETY'S boundaries that have been domesticated into you. Release what no longer serves your highest self.

This just came to me:
You may not be everyone's cup of tea, but you will be someone's favorite flavor.
— Is that soothing or what?! Thanks Source!

Ok, now for my confession. Deep breath...

This may sound wild. But I've been having visions of people getting hurt before or during the course of an accident occurring. I do not know these people in the visions, nor have I met them before. It's like watching a bad movie that flies up on the screen, that I have no control over. I used to get really freaked out as a child when it would happen, but now I do whatever I feel guided to when these scenarios pop up, such as pray, call in source + angels, I ask for the people to receive healing, immaculate strength, whatever is needed at that moment. After my work is done, the vision fades out and I'm like ok, I hope those people are ok, that was weird. Did I see something real? Did that just happen out in the real world? I have so many questions.

I'm told by some of my online aquaintances that it's not appropriate for these visions to just drop in whenever, it's my body, I've got to get control... Easier said than done. 🤣

I had abilities when I was young, I saw energy and colors surrounding people, I can't remember if I also saw auras around plants and pets too? I also saw and heard not-so-great things and didn't have any guidance into what was and is still natural for me. I've been ill ever since I shut myself/abilities down at the first funeral I attended. I prayed for my gifts to go away.
—They did. Now they only open up in uncontrollable spurts... It's time for me to step into my FULL power and not fear this. The suppression has made me stuck in life. Jobs never work out, my health has been a disaster since highschool, friends and family have left, I'm clearly not serving my purpose very well denying who I truly am.

Trying to figure out who I am has been uncomfortable because this life doesn't fit a normal 9-5 schedule that pays the bills. It's unpredictable, it's ever-changing, it can be scary without knowing who the heck to talk to for guidance. I don't meet many people like me, I have ALOT going on. Sorting through all of it has been a mess. Almost everyone I know isn't ok with this until you have an established practice built and even then it's still considered occult and strange... I know I just need the right type of support and guidance and my life will flourish. Getting to that point has been Mount Everest and then some.

Books like Sylvia's here, have been seriously helpful to me on my solo dolo journey. I'm sure you see why. Sylvia, I thank you for sharing such personal info, and I love you for that.

Learning to stay in a good mental state whilst hearing, seeing, sensing, feeling all these different things, and keeping your cool, takes some serious dedication, effort, and will to do so. No, I'm not mentally ill or hallucinating, trust me, the counselors, doctors, +, already tried pharmaceutically inducing this out of me long ago. We've been down that route, it's time to stop denying this.

It's more than just telling myself some pretty sounding affirmations or prayers. One must be aware of their thoughts at all times and if there is something unwelcome, out it goes and is replaced by something loving, something good.

A term this book presented that I'd never heard of before was: Morphic Resonance; past life energy carried over, affecting us in this life good or bad. They are lessons we already learned, and sometimes we need to remind our body that the lesson HAS ALREADY BEEN LEARNED, no need for a repeat. Commanding and Coding my cells and organs to do what I want, actually talking to these things has been interesting and something I remember listening to Dr. Wayne Dryer talk about when his daughter randomly aquired unwanted flat warts on her face. He told her to tell the warts they were unwelcome and have served their purpose, it's time for them to leave. (Thanks, but no thanks, goodbye!) His daughter put ALL her might and energy into focusing her mind to REMOVE the warts every night until they began to disappear. (3 weeks of nightly commanding FULL- HEARTEDLY!)

It's ok to get emotional, just make sure you command the things you want to happen, DO NOT focus on what you don't want. How many times do we sit and wallow in the negative? It's so easy to complain, of course, it's going to feel uncomfortable rooting specific parts of yourself on. We need to COMMAND and have AUTHORITY over what we DO want, it is our birthright.

I don't know how to end this review exactly, it's already been strange enough to you I'm sure. I just needed to get all this out there. Until next time folks, I'll just be over here busy working on all this. Maybe one day I'll have myself figured out. Choi bebés. 😘

This was interesting but I didn't enjoy it as much as some of her books about the Other Side. I felt like her guides are less in touch with our reality and more in tune with theirs, so even tho she does give some solid advice on healing oneself from various ailments and not to exclude western medicine entirely... it still felt a little off. Her visualization meditation of the silver star seems like it could be useful as a tool for utilizing the mind in the healing process and her thoughts on a positive mind set as being incredibly important felt true. I just liked her other books more- especially the ones about angels and visiting the temples on the other side.

May she rest in peace.

This book caught my eye at Borders because Sylvia writes about healing ourselves. She says we should speak to ourselves out loud and tell our bodies to heal. Sylvia says we all need to stay away from negativity in any form and she encourages us to meditate, using the "Star Technique", which is mentally applying a Star patch to any area that needs healing. Although I have not been in contact with my "spirit guides", as Sylvia has, I would like to agree with her beliefs in reincarnation. Sylvia believes that we are all here to learn lessons, and that we program our lives especially to learn the lessons we need for our spiritual self. She rationalizes and explains that is why some folks have it so good and some folks have lives programmed to teach them lessons. Nice concept. It would explain a lot.

Psychic Healing.

There are so many

There are so much information , knowledge and meditations in Silvia's books. We can improve our lives and learn more about virtualization when we read them and practice them. They can help us rise to a higher vibration.

I am trying to gain more perspective to situations within my own life by being more open-minded in seeing things from somebody else’s lens. This book is not a great medical reference and I don’t believe it should be taken too literally. There are many moments where I’ve questioned the authority and factual premise of many of the arguments like ‘cancer is healed by the mind.’ However, some of the helpful and more positive take-backs that Sylvia has opened my eyes to is self-healing and the power of the mind to do that. That you have to be open and willing to learn by seeing things unconventionally, through alternative healing methods. This book provides the reader with tools to gain introspection on your own “maladies” which, I think can be useful when trying to cultivate a deeper insight into your mental harmony/disharmony. You have to be willing to give the book a chance and take it for what it is. It’s the work we can do within ourselves to create a life that we desire externally. Unfortunately, Sylvia has been criminally convicted of fraud (as per Google) so readers beware (and sorry Sylvia for calling you out like that but I think it’s an important piece of information when taking your advice).

I love the power of intention, but the branding of this makes it feel like new age magic. I was given this book for Christmas last year from a mother who thinks I have an otherworldly gift. I’m grateful if someone has come across this book who needed it branded like this. However, to me.. it seemed to the same liking as The Secret. Perhaps I would enjoy it more if I didn’t already implement these teachings.

I couldn’t actually finish this book after I read that
her “spirit” recommends vaccines. I’ve seen much damage caused by them in my own family. You’re wrong spirit!

This was an easy and interesting read. This book was really informative and had a lot of interesting bits of information that you have nothing to lose if you try the exercises and find they don't work for you. It is a reminder how negative thoughts and programming from society and yourself can adversely affect your health and possibly create what you don't want to happen. Before I give this book back I will definitely be writing a few things down and giving them a try.

Some great reminders in controlling ones' self through "mind over matter" and the use of willpower...creating and healing self from deep within, plus actively participating in taking physical care of our bodies. I found some very interesting and intriguing ideas along with several I've already known about from other sources.

Some of the things presented may seem a bit "far-fetched", but overall, it is a worthwhile and useful presentation.

A wonderful and surprising read. It has gotten me talking out loud and changing how I speak to myself. I can see the power of 'will' is a strong and underused tool for the self. I have read some interesting dialogue that was thought provoking and has me talking to my body. I have to say it really works! I am glad I happened to come across this read. It is not a read for everyone, I will warn.

Awesome book. I bookmarked a bunch of pages for future reference. It is all about how the mind can heal the body. If you have problems with something you should talk to that part of the body and heal yourself. I think I was able to do that with my back in the past and will continue to do that in the future.

This book should be two or three times as thick, to explain what otherwise reads as contradictory information throughout. I liked the ideas, and on some level they resonate with me, but critical thinkers will find themselves pointing out sentences mere pages apart that, without explanation, don't align.

While I don't agree with Sylvia's belief in reincarnation, I do believe in our body's ability to heal itself. This book definitely will change the way I talk to myself. Instead of filling my head space with constant critical chatter I will attempt to fill it with positive affirmations and loving nudges to get my body parts to get moving and do something amazing:)

I read this book sometime back. When someone (Kindle) is reading it for you makes much more sense. Though, I have read other books that are the same with this book in a slightly different way. As Sylvia Browne indicates "you do not have to like my books, get what is useful to you and leave the rest".

An eye-opener on holistic healing approach. The author has a lucid writing style that takes us gradually into the aspects of mental and emotional healing - read "happiness & pursuit of life" and its contribution in our overall health and quality of life.

Very good book...although the title is Psychic Healing, the book focuses more on ones ability to heal yourself through prayer, meditation or whatever you believe in. It talks about how we can go back into our minds and heal ourselves from any past hurts and experiences. Great book!

Not a bad book. It has a lot of good info, but I was already knowledgeable about all of this and it was very repetitive for me. Good info if you have never understood this type of healing though.
