Middle grade readers are likely best suited for this book of punny riddles. Many of the jokes are very subtle and rely on fairly sophisticated word play that would sail over the head of a younger child.

Black and white cartoonish illustrations complement the riddles and add to the humor. We took our time reading this book; only a page or two at a time.

My favorite of the bunch:

"Why did the shark spit out the clown?"
"Because he tasted funny."
