Yes, this is a fun book for kids to read on their own, but pastors, Christian educators, and parents can easily use it to introduce deeper discussions on Bible stories or issues applicable to kids and school or family life. Some of the poems are better than others, but the poet does a great job using poetry to tell aspects of the Bible story plainly as well as illustrate situations common to children’s experience and apply scripture. The art is fun and engaging. Scripture citations are provided for each poem. These poems could easily be integrated into or inspire a lesson or children’s sermon.
