This book includes 4 stories about women who harbor secrets and mystery about their past. Gail who is whisked away without really knowing a lot about her husband's family. (Not good) Carillon whose parents became Christian and she doesn't understand. Then her little sister dies and she is sent to a camp hopefully help can be found thru Jack. Allison who is confronted with a man who is waving a gun and Beau who steps in and is shot in the process. Finally Daisy who is picked up by Peter when she is running away.
