This story has a twist at the end. Unlike most of the Red Riding Hood versions, this one involves hunters. Doesn't say how they got it in, just how they saved Red and what the wolf did.

This is a good book to read to the students in class and use it to teach about the effects of talking to strangers. Bad things could happen. We could also discuss character traits. Ex.: at the end of the story it says the Wolf ran away with his tail between his legs. Good time to teach that when a dog is scared or ashamed they usually will put their tail between their legs.

Problem with the book: Some might get upset at the fact that the story contains guns in the hunters hands.

Good classic! I still don't understand why the wolf doesn't do his thing when he first meets her but I guess he just had second thoughts. Love the bilingual writing, makes the story a good vehicle to teach kids English/Spanish.
