Pretty terrible: breathless writing, rampant and overwrought editorializing, dated opinions and terms. Not even useful as a basic reference, since there are no sources cited and in any case the author's credulous tone makes one suspicious of anything he says to begin with.

One of my favourite books, I've read this around 3 times and I'm seriously not a massive book reader.

Includes factual errors (e.g. Rodney King is not quoted accurately).

I'm odd and love this strange stuff. It's a big book, but the best part about that is that you can pick it up and put it down whenever you want, without losing a spot or forgetting any important details.
