While some worthwhile topics were briefly raised in this book (booklet, really; a staple-bound paperback of fewer than 50 pages), any valuable discussion was lost among cherry-picked, over simplified interpretations of the US Constitution and views of some of America’s Founders. Everyone should read this book, especially those in law enforcement. Why is it that so many people in the professions know very little about their duties, powers and responsibilities? If citizens knew that the Sheriff is the only law enforcer that is not controlled by the government but answers only to the citizens they might pay more attention electing him.
