Mr. Cat continues his quest to be chief among chiefs in the field of ramen restaurant in the volume 2 of Neko Ramen.

More humorous events take place, from Mr. Cat's mother shows up to insist on her son to meet up with nice girl-cat of fine breeding, to Mr. Cat's one and only customer, Mr. Salary Man (age. 25) comes to the ramen restaurant with his love interest, to Mr. Salary Man's father starts working in Mr. Cat's restaurant in order to learn the true spirit of ramen-cooking. Lots of dramas, lots of fun!

I ended up having to read more about Taisho, the ramen noodle shop owner who happens to be a cat. He's kind of cute. He makes bad ramen and I think even worse curry. He has enthusiasm, though, and some weird stories to entertain us. It's a 4 panel manga and it didn't take too much thinking to skim this one this weekend. (And considering my weekend, that was a good thing!)

The concept intrigued me, but I really didn't find this funny or interesting. Each joke/story is about the length of a comic strip and they are very one-note. Didn't find the art or the two main characters interesting, either. I was surprised this was published 2006, it feels much older.

This volume was much much better than the last one! I actually laughed out loud a few times during this volume and cracked a smile far more times than the first one. I really do love Taisho! The newspaper strip was hilarious! I have a cat who loves laying on papers, so it made me chuckle.

This continues the VERY funny comic strip about Taisho who runs a ramen restaurant. The humor comes from the utter silliness of the situations. Taisho has a pet cat, he puts photos of his friends in the menu instead of pics of the food, and his #1 customer seems to know more about ramen!
This is a sitcom driven comic strip. The artwork is very jagged and plain which makes me recommend this for older readers. The 13+ rating just means it won't damage anyone 13-yrs-old, which it won't. However, unless the 13-yr-old is a cat lover who likes borderline slapstick, they're gonna head to the sleeker looking titles. Too bad, because there's some quality laughs in this book.

Picked this up for like 90% off at a closing Borders because it has a neat cat and is about Ramen. It's ok. It seems to be more of a serialized strip of spme sort. Some of the jokes also seem to be lost in culture or translation.

I love Neko Ramen!!! This hilarious cat can give Garfield a run for his money. I'm not sure I'd want to eat his noodles but once you visit this great comedy strip you'll be a loyal regular customer Taisho's unusual noodle bar.

This manga series is deliciously ridiculous. Featuring Taisho, former kitty fashion model and ramen restaurateur. Hilarious hijinx to drum up business. Lovey dovey ramen is too cutie.
