The Pacific Century: America and Asia in a Changing World

Rate this book
By the mid-1990s, American trade with the Pacific nations--Japan, China, Taiwan, Korea, the Philippines, Australia, and others--will be twice as large as our commerce with countries across the Atlantic. Now one of America's most distinguished Asia scholars examines the history and development of the Pacific nations and makes clear America's stake in this region. 200 photographs.
