This is about what you would expect from a Schaum's outlines on statistics. I used this text to review what I learned in a stats class over a decade ago. It was a decent review. I would definitely not recommend this book as an introduction to stats. While the book has a lot of examples and problems, both solved and unsolved, the actual exposition of the stats is brief. There are absolutely no proofs or derivations of the formulas they show you how to use. This makes it useful as a review or a reference for somebody who needs to work through some simple stats problems by rote. It will not help you to understand the mathematical underpinnings of statistics.
