I really appreciated the way this book was written. It is a collection of conversations with Elder Women of Native Nations. It is beautiful, and the author takes no liberties in editing their speech patterns, he just lets it be said as it was meant.

I enjoyed the book, and the message is very clear from the elder women of varying native American Indian tribes. I am part Cherokee myself, but I found parts of this book to be a bit preachy. I assume that is the wishes of the author, basically.
worth the read.
