James Lee Ray, Ph.D. (Univ. of Michigan) is a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Political Science at Vanderbilt University. His published work has focused on the causes of war and interstate conflict, as well as various methodological and epistemological issues. He has served as the President of the Peace Science Society, and is a winner of Vanderbilt's Ernest Jones Faculty Adviser Award.

Read this for an international relations class in college. Unfortunately, this book is pretty dated now.
