I liked it! Takeshi Kaikos style was really interesting to read. And the fact, that it explains the inner workings of a society far away from the average reader, it makes this book even more interesting.

Historically it it is very interesting book. The storytelling is very objective, and less elaborate than in other eastern books. A few very fine dialogue and thought stays with you. Worth to read.

A book about a group of thieves who operated after the second world-war near Osaka.

The book is unusually open and outspoken for the work of a Japanese author. It offers a candid, frank picture of joblessnes, crime, corruption, and a unique insight into Japan's post-war era.

It is also an easy, entertaining, short read. I can recommend it.
