"The Serena Wilcox Mysteries: Books 1, 2 & 3" features "Gene Play", "Virtual Memories" and "Camp Conviction", plus commentaries, behind-the-scenes stories and more! Get to know Serena Wilcox in this 3-book set, the first three books in the series.
The Serena Wilcox Mysteries begins with the little red book "Gene Play". It had a print run of only 500 copies and until now has not been available for a wide audience. The second book "Virtual Memories" is a cross-genre mystery with light sci-fi woven into the plot. The third book "Camp Conviction" is the most humorous of the three, and lays down the foundation for Serena Wilcox to transition to her new role in "Angels Mark". All three books have been revised and updated slightly, leaving their original voice intact.
Reading the older Serena Wilcox Mysteries is not necessary before reading "Angels Mark", "Covert Coffee", and future SW mystery titles. There is a ten-year gap between the first three books and book #4, "Angels Mark". The writing style of the first three books is quite different from the more polished efforts of the later books.
Natalie is an oil painter, with works on display at events and exhibits.
Natalie was born in upstate New York, raised in Indiana, and lived in Germany when her husband was stationed there with the U.S. Army. After his deployment, she lived near the Twin Cities (Minneapolis, Saint Paul, Minnesota) for twenty years, then moved briefly to Ireland. She now resides in coastal Georgia.
I'm sure glad I read this set first before the finding out about the later series.
These three books, written years before the current incarnation of Serena Wilcox, are so much fun and light-hearted; the later books are totally different and more faith based, (if i recall,) which really turned me off of those books. If I had read the latests stories first, I would have never given these stories a try and that would have been sad.
The characters in these stories are well written and the plots are enjoyable reads.
These were the first three she wrote a long time ago and she was very young. The lead is a young woman who is delightful. she's the reason why the first grown-up book is so good.
They're a bit of a slog to read, but good stories. They're worth the money @ $.99 for the Kindle versions.
