This one really lost almost immediately learn from hero's POV that after being together for a year, heroine meant so little to hero that he's moved on to sleeping with other women in the 7 months of her pregnancy. But she turns him on more than all the other women he's slept with. I'm really impressed...not. I'm struggling with the writing, I'm very detached from the hero. This is one where heroine should be demanding the hero sign something relinquishing parental rights in response to ...more

Shelves: dnf, hq

The book had some very scathing reviews, and some really high ones. So I figured I'd read it, and either love it or at least it'd get my blood pumping in a "I can't believe she wrote that!", kind of way.

Meh. Honestly I found it all rather boring. It had everything your average HQ does. Alpah jerk H with a tortured past is in an "arrangement" with the h. He tells her upfront, no marriage, no relationship, no love, just sex. The h is in lurv, and a total doormat who says yes dear to everything

I wish it were possible to give this book less than one star. So disgusted with the portrayal of the hero, who is physically and mentally abusive towards the heroine, I have now revised my plan to sell the book on once completed to burning it leaf by leaf, just to draw out the satisfaction, knowing there is one less copy in the world.

As a note for any romance novelist out there, a relationship dynamic in which a man grabs a woman by the throat when he's angry, uses her child to coerce her into

The hero was a little bit tame compared with other HP romances. Also the storyline was a bit linear and anticlimactic, even though there was some conflict it failed to impart that tension to the reader. That's why i couldn't really connect with the characters. For me it was a nice book though, an easy afternoon read.

Recommends it for: Nobody
First, am I the only one who noticed that the synopsis of the book is wrong? Katrina is not pregnant, she has already had the baby, and it is no surprise to Alex--heretofore referred to as "JackAss"--that she was pregnant because she had told him she was pregnant and he immediately broke up with her.

At the beginning of the book JackAss's all mad that Katrina disappeared out of his life. Well, yeah, if I tell the guy I'm sleeping with (because Katrina and JackAss's arrangement can't be called "d

Recommends it for: people who like alpha males, gamma mistresses, and omega babies.
Recommended to Sarah by: myself--actually I just wanted an HP so I eenie-meenie-ed and that rest is history
Surprisingly liked this one.

I was laughing a lot. Alex is (usually very unintentionally) funny. Katrina possesses a pretty strong character. (Off track: I know as a romance publisher, these stories are supposed to be HEAs, or even HFNs, but for the most part, I'd say Her Secret, His Love-Child was neither. (view spoiler) Sam is adorable. I got to page 52 before completely stopping. The hero is an absolute, complete jerk and I can't stand the forcefulness of him. A man can be alpha without being threatening. As another reviewer said, I don't see grabbing heroine's throat, threatening to take away a child, and pushing the issue of sex as sexy. Frankly NO MEANS NO. I hate it when heroes push and push even though the heroine says no just because "their body says yes". Ugh... So, I stopped reading the book at page 52 before I caused ...more

Very good d:)

The H was an alpha male but I didn't find him to be overly arrogant. He had reason to believe the child wasn't his, but he still looked for h when she disappeared, despite the fact he thought she cheated. I liked both characters and there was just enough internal dialogue from both to know their thoughts without going on and on. I giggled when h stormed the boardroom and told the board members basically to "get out". I found the book entertaining and recommend it.

Such a great love story. I have read this book several times and I love it more and more every time I read it. Alex is a very demanding person and he really loves Katrina. He just doesn't want to admit it. I believe that he made a choice when he was too young to make it and I'm glad fate stepped in and changed it.

Being pregnant is a tough job but someone has to do it and that's just what the heroine did. After a passionate night between the hero and heroine, a baby is created. Little did they both know that such an act would cause such wide spread devastation and hormonal surges. Never the less the hero won't give up until the heroine is his, her fears and all.

OMG, this is the worst book ever. This man is NOT a hero, he is an horrible, abusive, evil creep!!! AVOID this book. Run far, run fast and don't look back!
I didn't care for this one. The hero seemed like a jerk.

I almost gave up on this one but the hero got better as the book progressed which for me is a miracle to even finish a book where the hero is horrible.
