Jenna is psyched to have all of her friends up to her lake house! Greenwood Lake is so much fun, especially on Memorial Day weekend, when they have an annual county picnic and an old-fashioned carnival. The weekend is off to a perfect start . . . until Jenna’s brother invites David, her old crush and Sarah’s current boyfriend! Jenna handles the situation by trying to ignore David. But when the picnic rolls around and she and David are partnered up for the three-legged race, the sparks that fly between them are way too electric to ignore!
(LL) This book was three stars until two things happened: 1. Page 83: “Jenna. If a nice gentleman asks you for a dance, it’s rude to turn him down...” Ummm, excuse me? If you don’t want to interact with someone for any reason you have every right to say no. It may seem like a small thing, but it didn’t sit well with me. Two: ending the series the way it did and having one of the main characters not come back to camp for an easy fix in the plot? Lazy writing. I know it’s a kid’s book, but that doesn’t mean the writing can be lazy or too convenient because it will and did come across that way.
Best book ever !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A group of girls went on this trio to go see each other. One of the girls brother and friend and dad went with them to have some fun. The girls had a list of fun things they wanted to do but then they went and walked around and saw like other fun things to do. The girls did this thing like a dance competing and it took a while to learn the dance. Jenna started liking David and Alex started liking Adam. They didn't want to prove that they liked each other tell the last minute when the guys figured it out. Everyone had such a good time. They all did competing things like a dance, water ballon toss, and a lot more. After the whole vacation of fun everyone went back home tell the summer came and they went to camp again.
Ok, well Jenna is having all the Camp Lakeview girls up to her summer house for a reunion on memorial day weekend, but when she finds out that her twin brother Adam is allowed to have a friend over and it turns out to be David (her previous crush and Sarah's current boyfriend), it seems like the whole reunion is ruined. David confesses that he likes her and wants to break up with Sarah, and she does like him back, which the other girls suspect. They confront her multiple times, and Jenna almost buckles under all the pressure and stress. Also, we find out that not one, but TWO of the campers will not be returning to Camp Lakeview next summer...
