Since I love dogs, I thought this would be a light, fun look at dog behavior with some spiritual connections or analogies. It was so much more.

It was poetically written with a contemplative tone.

In the end, it hit on something God is trying to show me now about intimacy with and devotion to Him by examples of something personal to me.

I ended reading this book in tears asking God to help me love like that.

2025: Decided to re-read after letting two dogs go this year.

2016: Wow. I never expected a book like this to be so deep spiritually. It was certainly very timely for me as well. My dad met the author at a conference he attended one year and brought me back this dedicated, autographed copy. I'm really excited to read the rest of Teems' books. He has a lyrical, poetic way of writing that I just loved.
