Shaun Moseley is in a trap and it’s all his brother Liam’s fault.
Living a normal life running a B&B in Blackpool, he finds himself right in the middle of a gang turf war in Manchester. Shaun is an alien in this horrifying new world of drugs, guns and violence.
Shaun rebels against everyone, isolating himself in the process. But a terrifying experience opens his eyes to gang member Enzo Ponti. Shaun may be trapped for the time being, but that doesn’t mean he can’t have a little fun along the way, right? After initially dismissing Enzo as just another hired killer, he scratches below the surface…and finds much more there.
But evil gangster Jonny Wellingham wants revenge on the gang and has set his sights on Shaun. Can Shaun live long enough to find just how deep Enzo’s waters are?
Reader advisory: This book contains scenes of violence, murder, organized crime, and homophobia.
I have written for as long as I could write. In fact, before, when I would dictate to my auntie. I love to read, and I love to create worlds and characters.
I live in the English countryside. When I’m not writing, I like to get out there and think through the next scenario I’m going to throw my characters into.
Inspiration can be found anywhere, on a train, in a restaurant or in an office. I am always in search of the next character to find love in one of my stories. In a world of apps and online dating, it is important to remember love can be found when you least expect it.
The second book of the Two Tribes series was just as action packed as the first. Questions were answered from the first book, but the intense chase began. And, poor Shaun, forced into a lifestyle he despised. The depths at which Kristian continues with this exciting storyline, was fierce and blazing with action.
Oh Enzo and Shaun, what a match perfectly made, maybe not necessarily a match made in Heaven, but definitely made within the stats. Enzo’s experience with the mafia life, along with Shaun’s history of his upbringing in the lifestyle, made for an intimate understanding of one another, acceptance was their downfall. But, their connection was instant and chemistry uncontrollable!
This part was such a shocker!! Hopefully we’ll get a third book in this series, not sure who the next couple could possibly be but either way the suspense of finding out Jonny’s fate is enough to keep my attention.
4.5 stars. While continuing the plot and including a lot of the same characters as part one in this series, it is a really different book. As Shaun had absolutely no history in the crime world that his brother was involved in and wanted nothing to do with it either, this becomes a story with extra twists which I haven't found in other books of that type. There are some very sad moments and a really lovely end. The first chapter of book 3 is intriguing too. I received a complimentary copy of this book and am happy to leave a voluntary review.
In the second book of the Two Tribes series, Shaun, Liam's brother, is stuck at the farm hiding out with Marco, Liam, two Italian mafia men and the women from Manchester. It isn't necessary to read the first book, but it does give decent context. It's nearing Christmas and whilst shopping, Johnny Wellingham's thugs have followed Shaun and a chase starts through the city markets. It's Enzo who comes to his rescue and gets him back to the farmhouse to wait for the mysterious uncle Z to get there from Italy with back up. Shaun and Enzo are obviously attracted to each other but Shaun hates the life, and honestly, quite a few times he acts out like a bit of a brat, and ends up under house arrest. The main issue I had with this was Shaun's actions. If he had a passport and was so desperate to run, he might have left the UK much earlier. So there are some plot and consistency issues, but the romance and sex is handled well and that hook/discovery near the end definitely changes things and adds a new, exciting dimension.
Second book in the series 2 Tribes Please make sure you read the first book in this series to get the very best from the second book. I’ve got to say I struggled with this book I’ve given it four stars because I liked the storyline although in parts I found it a bit unbelievable like the ending I just can’t see him leaving I just can’t but I really struggled with liking Shaun, he was just like a spoiled brat that kept doing things that he knew would cause grief and it really got to me. did I like the relationship that he had Enzo yes I did I really enjoyed the connection but I still don’t think he would’ve left without getting revenge I just don’t! they’re so passionate the Italians I just struggle with that. But I am truly excited for the third book because I always had an inkling about Harry always so that one is going to be a real humdinger I think.

While their romance develops over the course of this book, Shaun and Enzo’s story unfolds against the backdrop of events that start in the first book of the series, so it’s a good idea, for context, to start with that one if you haven’t already. There’s a lot to get caught up in here: the chemistry between our two main characters isn’t always (or ever) convenient or particularly easy, but it is strong and watching their dynamic develop makes for a compelling reading experience. Add to that all the various events of the plot (waves hand vaguely in the direction of those events… because…no spoilers) and you end up with quite a ride– I’m seriously intrigued by what the next book in the series will bring, and happy to have gotten to know Shaun and Enzo a bit better along the way. 4.5 stars.

I love the way the title refers to so many changes for so may different people in this book. Shaun's life has changed because of events in book one and the actions of his brother Liam. We were introduced there to both the Italian and the Manchester versions of organized crime and now Shaun has been caught up in the fray. Enzo is sent over by the Italian side as a fixer, protector, killer, whatever is required and despite Shaun's anger and resentment at the way his life has been upended, he and Enzo make a real connection which will be tested to the max. An enemy intends take revenge by using Shaun as the victim if Enzo can't prevent it. There's wonderful character development and a real sense of place as in all of Parker's books and in this one I guarantee there are some twists and turns you won't see coming. Cannot wait to read the third book in this series.
So this is book 2 for this series and although it features a different couple from book 1 you really are better to read that one before jumping in to this book. This time we get the story of Shaun who we already met and hes the brother of Liam. Shauns life has been flipped upside down with the arrival of Liam and Co as the gangster gang that Liam previously worked for are hunting for them. Right at the very start you are gripped into a chase scene that sets the pace for this book. Really liked the sparks that started flying between Shaun and Enzo but things didnt start to change right away. Shaun was pretty selfish at many parts and made me want to shout at him while reading! Loved Enzo and his honesty. Lots of drama, emotions and steamy scenes wrapped into one easy to read book. *Read as part of KU*
Another good addition to the series.. you do need to read Fool’s Gold book one first. This is Shaun’s story. Shaun is Liam’s brother and is bitter being pulled into a life he ran from. Enzo is of of the two men the mysterious uncle Z has sent to help. The romance is a little slow burn then really heats up.
I loved all the characters. The plot thickens, is full of action and twists and turns. We get more of Marco and Liam. I’m looking forward to the next book. If you like mafia romance, drama, suspense, and a good romance… oh I forgot to mention bad boys! You will love this. So go get the first book and this so you will be ready for book 3!
Wow what a riveting second book in the series. I was completely dragged in by all the characters and worlld building. My heart bled for Enzo and all he lost, but I am glad he and Shaun got their act together. I am a fan of Kristian his writing style in this series, characters have more than one aspect to them. For me this is a perfect mix of action, passion, steam, doubt, loss and loyalty. I can't wait to find out more about Lorenzo and Harry their story, pre-ordered it and will devour it whilst on vacation near the area this series takes place.

This is the second book in the series and focuses on Liam’s brother Shaun, who is no criminal, but a poor guy caught up in circumstances beyond his control. A guy who enjoys a nice, quiet life, not one surrounded by danger, criminals, and mobsters.
Enzo is the complete opposite. He’s part of the dangerous criminal underworld, and he’s Shaun’s bodyguard. He answers to Marco who in turn answers to Uncle Z. Everyone is underground during this novel, hiding from the gang Liam used to belong to, who are out for blood.
'Unable to fight the urge any longer, Shaun leant across and kissed Enzo on the cheek.'
I really enjoyed this book. It was fast-paced and exciting and I was hooked. I really liked both Enzo and Shawn and thought they were very well matched. I felt a bit bad that, though he wanted no part in it, Shawn was entwined in this gang war because of his brother, and now Enzo. But it made a captivating read. Really looking forward to book three. 4 stars.
“Are you sure you’re ready?” Enzo asked. “Where you’re concerned, I was born ready,” Shaun replied.
This is the second book in the Two Tribes series, and I highly recommend reading them in order, as there are some great past characters in this book. The MC’s had an instant connection and their chemistry was amazing. I enjoyed getting to know the characters and how their dynamic worked as they were both so different, especially since Enzo was involved in criminal activity and Shaun abhorred it. Each of the characters had issues to overcome, and the story had me on the edge of my seat waiting for the conclusion.

This is book two in the series and even though you can read it as a stand alone I would recommend you read Fool’s Gold book one first. This book is about Shaun and Enzo Shaun is Liam’s brother and not happy at all about being pulled into the drama. Enzo is one of the guys that Uncle Z has sent to help Marco. The romance is slow burn with lots of heat. There is lots of action, drama and a few surprises.
“I’ve never had a bodyguard before,” Shaun said. “Do I sit in the back?” A twinkle appeared in Enzo’s eye. “I think you are mistaking a bodyguard for a chauffeur.” Shaun went round the car and got in the passenger seat. “Does that mean you don’t carry all the bags and push the trolley?” “I’m not sure if I prefer you moody or funny,”
As the second book in Kristian Parker’s Two Tribes series, Everything Changes continues to provide mafia action in Manchester. In book one, Liam and Marco’s relationship was established, as well as the need for Italy’s ‘Uncle Z’ to take over where Marco had established himself on his behalf, in the seedy drug and crime world.
Liam’s brother, Shaun, and Marco’s Italian cousins, Enzo and Giovanni, were entangled in this war between their uncle and current crime Kingpin Jonny Wellington, by the completion of Fool’s Gold.
Shaun is a disgruntled semi-prisoner in the farm this group has now established as their working home base. With little to do, besides cooking and cleaning, his griping leads him to some dangerous choices-and one of those is becoming closer to Enzo.
Enzo has always done as told. As the brawn that was brought in when needed, he found something special, something different and emotional, when he began to seek out Shaun’s friendship. Everything certainly does change when unexpected actions, in and out of the bedroom, take place between these two!
Book three, Don’t Look Back in Anger, will tie up this trilogy of action and emotion, with gangsters who have as much heart as heat.
Amongst all the mayhem and tension, Shaun and Enzo get their opportunity for romance in the second book of Kristian Parker's terrific past-paced gangster caper set in Manchester. A thoroughly entertaining read!
