This is a straightforward little book and easy to read, making it suitable for all ages.

There's colour pictures and diagrams throughout to show you how things are done, such as putting up a tarpaulin, building various campfires and knots among many other things.

There's sections on what to take with you, how to properly pack your rucksack, where's best to pitch your tent and outdoor cooking.

The book is the perfect size for slipping into your rucksack.

There's a wild cook book section at the back with lots of tasty recipes.

It's ideal for the beginner.
