Tryon Edwards was an American theologian, best known for compiling the "New Dictionary of Thoughts", a book of quotations. He published the works of Jonathan Edwards (the younger) in 1842. He also compiled and published the sixteen sermons of his great, great grandfather, Jonathan Edwards, on 1 Corinthians 13, the "Love Chapter", entitling the book "Charity And Its Fruits; Christian love as manifested in the heart and life", which thought by some to be the most thorough analysis of the text of 1 Corinthians 13 ever written.

He was minister of the Second Congregational Church in New London, Connecticut, from 1845-1857, after having served in Rochester, New York.

This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and it is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it. This work was reproduced from the original artifact, and remains as true to the original work as possible. Whenever I need a quote or want to increase my understanding, I continually return to this resource. The same force that holds the rock to the earth and the earth to the sun is the same force that pulls me to this reference and my love and belief in God.
