Takes readers on a year-long journey into their creative souls, offering a map for finding and expressing the art that dwells there. It encourages readers to recapture their authentic self that many abadoned long ago with their Crayola crayons.
I love this book! It made me want to stop what I was doing and make some art, write, paint, take a class and just do something creative. It's a feel good book about not listening to outside bullshit and just letting whatever is inside of you drop out in whatever form it takes. Be it music, pottery, jewelry, or some uninvented medium. Just do it and let it carry you away with the pleasure it brings.
My sister has occasionally bought me these types of books when I've been in periods of "finding myself". This one is fun. It basically gives you something "artsy"/creative to do once a day. It's really good, but you have to commit yourself to doing these things...even if they're silly. And, unfortunately, that's not me.
I picked this book up strictly because I thought it would fuel my creative spirit and I have held this book very high in finding "who I truly am" ... Fun daily projects that push you to be more creative! Love, love, love this book!
Recall loving reading this book while preparing to move from KS to northern MN. Picked it up today after living here 13 years. See underlines, notes. Read about author Pam Grout online and see she is a successful writer/author.
